State 48 Hour Film Project

The Flagstaff International Film Festival (FIFF) is thrilled to announce the launch of its inaugural State 48 Hour Film Project, a unique filmmaking competition scheduled to take place from April 19 to April 21, 2024. The State 48 Hour Film Project is open to all Arizona residents and invites both aspiring and professional filmmakers to join in the creative process.

48 Hour Film Projects are a worldwide filmmaking competition where teams undertake the entire process of writing, filming, editing, and screening a short film within a 48-hour timeframe. At the commencement of the competition, participants receive a genre, character, line of dialogue, and a prop, which they must incorporate into their film. It challenges participants to be creative, work under tight deadlines, and showcase their filmmaking skills.

About the State 48 Hour Film Project

Beginning Friday, April 19th at 3:00 PM is the kickoff event. At 3:30 PM, teams will choose an envelope to draw their elements to include in their project.
